About Me

Lexi Allman Hypnotherapist
Lexi Allman

I am an experienced Hypnotherapist and NLP practionner of 20 years, and offer caring and confidential guidance in resolving a wide range of personal, health and repetitive behaviours. My training is Ericksonian based and so I work intuitively with the uniqueness of the individual, accessing the subconscious with hypnosis and NLP techniques to facilitate the desired change. I also offer EMDR for trauma resolution and hypno-CBT for behaviour modification.

The mind is powerful, complex and amazing, but sometimes its influence on emotion and behaviour requires decluttering and modification.  I can help you to understand yourself better and to define the changes you want to make so you can use your mind more effectively.

I have worked successfully with many clients (individually and in groups) with fears, relaxation, self-esteem/confidence building, weightloss,  insomnia and unwanted behaviours.

I see clients privately in Bedford and at health centres in Letchworth and Biggleswade.

Therapies

Hypnotherapy

It is the use of the altered state of awareness to channel untapped resources of the subconscious mind to achieve therapeutic change.  The introduction and maintenance of the altered awareness state serves to provide a special psychological condition in which a person can re-associate and reorganise his/her inner psychological complexities and utilise his/her own capabilities.

Uses: Relaxation,  anxiety states & panic attacks,  phobias,  repetitive behaviours, insomnia,  weightloss,  pain management,  confidence,  childbirth & fertility,  bedwetting,  depression,  exam nerves, sexual dysfunction,  sports performance enhancement,  dentistry, creativity,  healing, confidence.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Is a model of human experience and communication.  It is based on the study of how we experience, mentally & emotionally process and then make reference to events in our lives.  This happens on a subconscious level and influences our behaviours and emotions.

The procedures include use of language patterns and memories to alter the way we communicate with ourselves; and therefore how we feel and act.  Changes usually happen quickly.

Phobias, repetitive behaviours and substance abuse are especially responsive to NLP techniques.

Hypno-CBT

Is a formularized approach to behaviour modification based on the theory that thoughts affect feelings which then influence behaviour.

Adding hypnosis shortens the need for laborious repetition and homework.

This can be used for unwanted behaviours, OCD and self-esteem/confidence.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming) is a procedure for resolving trauma using eye movements to desensitize and process painful memories.  As it uses the subconscious it can be quicker than conscious based approaches.
